Olota Receives First-Ever Female Area Commander in Ogun State

 


On Friday, 11th October 2024, the newly appointed Area Commander of the Nigerian Police Force, Ota Area Command, ACP Oladele Oluwasola Bamidele, paid a courtesy visit to His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege Ph.D, MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of the Paramount and Ancient Otta, Aworiland.



ACP Bamidele has made history as the first female to hold the position of Area Commander in Otta, and indeed, the first woman to be appointed to such a role in any Command across Ogun State.



During the visit, the Area Commander expressed her deep gratitude for the warm reception she has received since assuming office. She acknowledged His Majesty's consistent efforts in promoting peace and security in the Kingdom, particularly through his leadership in resolving civil disputes and his unwavering commitment to community policing.


She further sought the support of His Majesty and other key stakeholders to enhance peace and security in the cosmopolitan city of Otta and its environs. 



In his response, His Majesty, the Olota of Otta, congratulated ACP Bamidele, commending her for setting a new milestone. He assured her of the full support of the peace-loving people of Otta and its environs. "Security is the responsibility of us all," Kabiyesi remarked, "and we shall continue to play our part in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in the Kingdom, as always."
